    Salary Description: 

    $67,000 per year (LAC, LMSW)

    $70,000 per year (LPC, LCSW)

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
    Licensed, master’s-level Mental Health Professional serves as Primary Therapist for a caseload of assigned members. Each Therapist serves on a treatment team and provides assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, referral, discharge planning and supervision of Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP)’s.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or another related field
    2. Current licensure to practice as an MHP in Arkansas (LAC, LMSW, LPE, LPC, LCSW, Psy D, PhD)
    3. Knowledge and effective use of Recovery, Strengths Based, and Person-Centered care.
    4. Honest, dependable, self-motivated, and dedicated to Birch Tree Values and Mission.
    5. Basic software skills and typing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    6. Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Mental health assessments, treatment planning and direct services. Responsible for plan of care, periodic reviews, individual, group and family psychotherapy, case conceptualization, consultation, and supervision of paraprofessional staff.
    2. Must possess Averting Crisis & Emergency Holds Training, CPR and First Aid Certification and meet yearly continuing education requirements.
    3. Knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental illness and general knowledge of psychotropic medications, i.e. benefits, risks, and side effects.
    4. Knowledge of the mental health system and legal system, community resources, entitlements and benefits of population served.
    5. Maintain healthy relationships, advocate for the members to ensure needs are met through a Person-Centered approach according to policy and procedure.
    6. Monitor the health and safety of members, the signs and symptoms of their mental illness, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.
    7. Utilize a team approach to ensure services prescribed are provided in compliance with all policies and procedures, etc..
    8. Provide after hours, on-call coverage as assigned.
    9. Effective participation in the utilization review process.
    10. Ensure all documentation is completed on time.
    11. Open communication with Chief Clinical Officer/Chief Operations Officer.
    12. Responds to request from the Utilization Department for additional information on reconsiderations, peer to peer, and extension of benefits.
    13. Ensure adequate information is provided by coordinating with 911 monitor/guardian/other for Tier Assessments scheduled times.
    14. Ensures that any court orders or legal issues are attended to timely and documented accurately in the clinical record.
    15. Demonstrate compliance with all Birch policies and procedures and commitment to the Birch mission and philosophy.
    16. Must meet weekly prescriptions in individual and group therapy for TC and Rehab members.
    17. Must complete MH Evaluations and POC’s on time.
    18. Plan of care objective achievement/improvement is greater than 49%
    19. Must possess good communication skills, relationships skills and time management skills.
    20. Complete edits requested on POC within 7-days and show a decrease in number of POCs needing edits over time.
    21. Ensure employee training and yearly CEUs are up to date, including CEUs to maintain licensure, and acknowledging updated policy and procedures manual and employee handbook.
    22. Provides weekly QBHP supervision; enters documentation of supervision that accurately describes supervision provided and covers the required areas of QBHP supervision.
    23. Must possess the ability to work cooperatively and respectfully from a team approach.
    24. Must be honest, dependable, self-motivated, and dedicated.
