9 a.m. - Dutch Oven Brunch: Reserve your spot as soon as possible at this Dutch oven breakfast at the cozy Nature Cabin. This Dutch oven brunch will include dishes and drinks. Please sign up by noon on February 9. Payment is due upon reservation and is $15 per person. Spots are limited.
11 a.m. - Labor Of Love: Lake Catherine State Park is built on a labor of love. Join Park Interpreter Carrie at the Nature Cabin for a 30-minute program about the love that engulfs the park each and every day.
1 p.m. - Hitting Rock Bottom: Walking to the waterfall along Falls Branch Trail includes walking among the rocky outcrops and creek beds. Unlike some relationships, hitting rock bottom while hiking can be a great thing. Join Park Interpreter Carrie on a onemile hike to the waterfall to learn about the geography and geology of the Ouachita Mountains and see how sweet hitting rock bottom can be.
3 p.m. - Love Birds: Love is in the air at Lake Catherine State Park. And the birds are here for it. Join Park Interpreter Carrie for a hike along the shoreline to explore the birds that soar the shorelines. Bring along a pair of binoculars and good walking shoes. We will meet at the Nature Cabin for this excursion and hike about onemile.
